We got back in town just in time for me to wake up and go meet this wonderful couple at the Garfield Conservatory. You think that you can’t escape the 20 degree weather this time of year? Wrong! The conservatory was lovely and tropical! We enjoyed the heat and humidty during our shoot and it was sad to go back outside. What a great shoot! And doesn’t Kimberly have the greatest smile you’ve ever seen?

I LOVE these two:

We are heading back to the ice pit (aka Chicago) tomorrow. Though it has been a short visit, our time in Tennessee has been a nice retreat. Today, we did some impromptu photos with my mom and Rich in their backyard. Mom has been wanting a nice photo of the two of them and Sona and I are always up for being camera hogs! There is bright sun here in Jackson, something we haven’t seen at home in a while, so we had to really search for shady pockets in the yard. Here are some of our shots:

This one is a bit shadowy, but I love it:

We are finally home in Tennessee. Last night, we had a wonderful time opening gifts with our families. Many photos to come!

However, this morning was special. I got to do a very quick photo session with Mr. Dorsey and Mrs. Katie–our lovely neighbors. These two are about as sweet as any two folks could be. They have been married for 60+ years!!! Can you believe it?

In her high school yearbook, when asked what she wanted to be, Katie put, “Dorsey’s wife”.

Here are a few photos from our shoot:
