Vicky and Kevin are familiar faces. I shot Vicky’s sister’s wedding a couple weeks ago (Cassy and Dewey) and, after I shoot Vicky and Kevin’s wedding, I’ll be shooting Kevin sister’s wedding. Get all that? So, it was great to see them again at Millennium Park–the spot where they got engaged. We had a great shoot and, as they wanted, incorporated a ton of fall colors. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE fall? Color is the key to making wonderfully vivid photographs and between Vicky’s jacket and the leaves, we had tons of hues to work with!

See how awesome my clients are? They’ll break the rules for a great photo.

What do you say when a client emails you and asks if they can bring a balloon to their engagement shoot? If you’re me, you say, “Oh, yes! PLEASE bring a balloon!” And isn’t this the most perfect red balloon that you ever did see? Note to all: bringing a prop to your photoshoot will make your photographer very, very happy. And the fact that Emily and Randy are two of the nicest people doesn’t hurt, either. Thanks for such a great time, you guys!

We had to imitate this photo that Emily found online:

Oh, I love this time of year! Jenn and Steve’s engagement photos perfectly represent what I love about fall: crisp light, colorful leaves and the need to do a little cuddling in order to stay warm. We had a great time at North Pond and got some wonderful photographs. I had just finished up 7 hours of family portraits and I joked that Jenn and Steve were going to make me get on the playground AGAIN. Truthfully, I didn’t mind a bit. Could these two get any cuter? I don’t think so.

LOVE Steve’s expression in this one:
