I’ve had a couple of exciting publications and features here lately, and I wanted to share. Check out the spring issue of The Knot magazine for a feature on Ashley and Sunil’s Wedding!

Then one of my favorite new wedding magazines–Smitten–featured Courtney and Erik’s wedding on their blog. LOVE the way they organized the photos–beautiful!

Always happy and thankful to have my work featured!

I love to travel as much as I love photography. Sometimes when I meet with new wedding clients, the subject of honeymoon locations comes up. And lord help them, because I could–and often do–blab on about travel destinations for hours.

So, we were happy to escape the Chicago winter long enough to enjoy another week in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos. This was our second trip to this magical place, and it has easily become one of my favorite spots on earth. It is everything you dream about when you think about the perfect tropical escape and, unlike so many beach destinations nowadays, it’s still relatively quiet and it’s not very commercialized. PERFECTION. As my best friend once said, “I now know what to think about when they say to ‘go to your happy place.'”

Because we’re in the middle of a cold spell in Chicago and facing another week of snowfall (which, believe it or not, I also love), I thought I’d share a few pictures from our trip. I didn’t take my “good camera” this time; these were all taken on a pocket-sized point and shoot (sometimes I have to step away from the big guy). Nonetheless, I’ve been staring at them and daydreaming of our next trip ever since we got home.

This was the view from the back of our villa. That house in the background (it is actually a private island)–Emerald Cay–once belonged to Dick Clark. Google it.

The ocean is always full of surprises.

We spent A LOT of time in the water. Snorkeling is my kind of meditation.

I mean, c’mon. Sea turtles!

Another great thing about TCI is that there are tons of reef formations right off shore.

My stepdad practicing his fly fishing.

And when you aren’t looking at the water, you’re busy admiring sunsets like this one.
