Emily and Tom were married on Saturday, and I’ve worked all afternoon to get these sneak peeks up before they leave for their honeymoon tomorrow–that’s how excited I am for them to see these photos! (By the way, Tom, I know where you’re headed for your honeymoon, and you don’t. Neener, neener, neener!)

This was my last wedding of 2013, and it was a beaut! The weather was sunny but cool, there was an outdoor ceremony with lots of great light, and Emily wore THE BEST DRESS I’ve ever seen. No, really. The Dress (intentionally capitalized) was insane.

I met these two at the Four Seasons where I watched Emily finish getting ready, and then they had a first look in the lobby of the hotel. After that, we walked over to the courtyard at Fourth Presbyterian for photos, and the light was DIVINE! The evening ended at Newberry Library–a venue I’ve worked at many times before–where they had their ceremony and their reception.

It was a wonderfully emotional and intimate day, and the perfect wedding to end another great season!

As soon as Emily got the text that Tom was heading to the hotel for the first look, she lost it!

But she was all smiles as soon as she put on The Dress. Can you blame her?!

Emilywedblog3

Per usual, these first look shots are some of my favorite!

What? Is Emily even serious? So beautiful.

Emilywedblog6

This courtyard and this couple. That’s it.

I couldn’t stop taking photos. I told Emily, “I can’t quit you… and this dress. And this light. And this location.”

Time for the ceremony!

So happy to be sealing the deal!

Married!

Their pup, Oliver, was an unofficial member of the wedding party. Can you get over that bowtie?!

Emilywedblog16

A while ago, Emily and Tom had asked if we could do a group shot of everyone that attended their wedding. So, right after the ceremony, we did just that. Love this idea! It’s so great to remember having everyone you love in one place!

Molly and Ryan had a beautiful wedding yesterday at Holy Family, and it was capped off by a reception at ARTRevolution.

I met Molly and her girls at the Park Hyatt and spent some time with them as they got ready. After a first look downtown, we all headed to the area around the Kinzie St. bridge for photos before the ceremony. The forecast called for rain and, as soon as we stepped off of the bus, I felt raindrops. I tried to hide my panic, as I knew how badly Molly wanted outdoor photos. Luckily, within just a few minutes, the rain stopped, and we had a perfectly dry shoot!

I was so happy to be able to capture the wedding day for such a kind and humble couple. Here are some sneak peeks, which I hope bring a smile to Molly and Ryan’s mini-moon!

Can you believe these shoes?!

Love this shot of Molly as she finished getting dressed. (I also loved that, rather than waiting for someone to come put her shoes on for her, she just sat down while everyone was chatting and put them on herself.)

Another amazing first look. Loved these reactions!

What a lovely couple!

The wedding party wasn’t too bad, either! (And thanks, girls, for braving the bridge’s grated service in heels just so we could get this shot!)

Molly was STUNNING!

Ceremony time!

Molly’s little niece kept busy with her coloring book during the ceremony. So cute!

The church–and the wedding party–were beautiful.

And a shot from the cupcake cutting! (Ryan proposed to Molly with cupcakes. So, having them at their wedding was a no-brainer!)
