April 19, 2015   |   engagement

Yesterday, I met Whitney and Jay at their alma mater, Northwestern University. It’s my first engagement session of the year, as Chicago is just starting to thaw. Wedding season is right around the corner, though, and this blog will be getting some much-needed lovin’.

It was great to kick off my season at the place where Whitney and Jay first met and fell in love as college freshman. Jay, especially, was so excited to take photos at places he remembers them frequenting, and you could tell there was a fair amount of nostalgia brewing.

Though it was still a bit windy and chilly, we managed to get to campus in time for some beautiful evening light. Here are some sneak peeks of our time together!

Jay proposed to Whitney at the building in the background.

College campuses can provide some great architectural spots to shoot in, and Northwestern is among the best of them! Perfect backdrop for all this fierceness.

This was a spot that Jay was REALLY excited about!

The campus library is particularly beautiful!
