Yesterday, Corie and Joe got married in Lemont, IL. These two currently live in Washington state, and the 2011 blizzard presented quite a few challenges. Namely, Joe was supposed to meet Corie in Chicago on Tuesday, and he didn’t make it until Friday night (just the evening before the ceremony)! However, they weren’t going to let a little snow ruin their big day. Instead, Corie let me know that they were willing to “tough it out” for photos outside, and she even reserved the Wilder Mansion in Elmhurst for a second photo location. Though I was a little worried about shooting a wedding just days after one of the biggest snowstorms in Chicago’s history, it turned out to be the perfect wedding day. I can’t wait to see the video by Ben Mahoney Productions (one of my favorite vendors). Here are some wedding photos I adore of a couple adore even more.
Right before I showed up, Corie opened up this beautiful ring. It was her gift from Joe and her “something blue.”
Corie was one of the most beautiful brides I’ve ever seen. She was so classic.
Excitement in the limo as we drove to the church.
You see, I had the PERFECT photo of Corie and her dad walking down the aisle. They were centered. The composition was great. Corie was looking right at my camera. I almost blogged it… then I saw this photo of Corie looking at Joe.
I was thrilled when I saw that Corie bought these signs.
These are my favorite photos from the day. Who knew it could look so warm at 20 degrees?
We may or may not have visited a liquor store on the way to Wilder Mansion.
If going to a liquor store leads to these photos, I’m all up for it!
Some fun in the limo on the way to the reception.
I’m ending with one photo from the reception that I just love. Their guest didn’t think they’d seen enough snow. So, they surprised them on the dance floor with a little more. This is pure JOY.
