WARNING: This post is packed full o’ photos!
Erin and Brian were married yesterday at Armour House on the Lake Forest Academy campus. What a wedding! This one had everything I love: great light, an easy-going couple, grey suits, vintage flair, a fun bridal party, and an AMAZING venue. For these reasons, I had a blast shooting!
I work my butt off at a wedding. I mean, I run around like a crazy person, sweating and panting. Sometimes, I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck and practically crawl to my car at the end of the night. Yesterday, though, I was so hopped up on good energy from being around such loving and kind people that I was giddy the whole way home!
Working with couples like Erin and Brian is definitely my favorite part of this gig. How lucky am I to be part of their milestones? Answer: VERY.
Here are some sneak peeks for them before they jet off to Italy! I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them!
(I should also give a shout-out to some amazing vendors; they also made the night a success! Mostly, I’m talking about the wonderful wedding staff at Armour House and Brent from Fig Media, one of my all-time favorite DJs!)
Erin is a huge Sarah Jessica Parker fan. So, when she found these shoes from SJP’s new line, she had to have them!
I mean, what other bride stops in the middle of getting her make-up done to demand that her sister bring in the laptop and show me an epic Robin video? Oh, and then Erin danced along!
Always a camera ham!
I genuinely love when grooms where bow-ties. They are so chic. But I also love that they always result in a “how the heck do you tie this thing?!” photo series! Note: A bridesmaid came to the rescue!
How dapper is Brian?
And Erin looked amazing!
I die for this photo!
And this one–and that one.
Their ceremony was full of emotions. Brian got choked up as he watched his beautiful bride come down the aisle.
And there were also lots of laughs! (Can you tell this is a fun-loving couple, yet?)
And maybe the most perfect “I Do!” kiss ever.
Married!
A toast to the brand new couple!
What a great property for wedding party photos!
…and what a great group to take photos of!
Yeah, I’m pretty much obsessed with this staircase.
The romantic details fit the venue perfectly.
This photo was a bit of an accident, taken right as Erin and Brian were making their entrance into the reception, but there’s something I really love about it.
I love this photo of Erin’s family, watching the first dance. I also have to give a shout-out to her mom and sister; both were tremendously gracious and helpful to me throughout the day!
Then, the dance got a little exciting!
But would we expect anything less from these two?
