Yesterday was one of the hottest days of the summer, but we Erin and Joe were going to enjoy their big day despite the heat. They had a beautiful ceremony in St. Charles and then hopped their (air-conditioned) party bus to the reception. Though we originally planned to spend a couple of hours riding around and taking photos, Joe pulled me aside and said, “Danielle–let’s just get this done. It is hot and we want to have fun!” Couldn’t say I blamed them! I was thankful to get a break from the heat, too. And even though we only spent 20 minutes doing all of the portraits, we got so many great shots.
They were nice enough to provide water for everyone:
I loved this church:
This may be my favorite shot of the day. After they walked up the aisle as Husband and Wife, they went down these stairs to hide from their guests. I caught this moment just seconds after they were wed.
My kind of portrait:
Love this one, too:
And one shot from the VERY entertaining reception. These 2 did a wonderful “Thriller” impression.
