Happy Hannukah!

Oh, man. I’ve been sick. I don’t mean the slight-sniffles kinda sick; I mean the can’t-get-out-of-bed-can’t-breathe kinda sick. Actually, this may be the worse cold (or whatever it is) that I’ve ever, ever had.

That said, I’ve basically spent the past week locked in our house with these guys:

Today, I slept until 3:00. Woke up, had some soup, and took a nap from 4:30-7:00. Pathetic, no? I’m drinking lots o’ hot tea and I’m finally starting to feel like I may kick this thing. But I must apologize for being a bad e-mail returner. I’ve been pretty useless!

Nonetheless, it is the first night of Hannukah and nothing could stop me from lighting the menorah.

I’d be a complete liar if I said that I didn’t wish my grandmother was here making potato latkes. Only 5 more days until we head home for the holiday. I need some family time.

I also want to thank all of you wonderful readers that left me COMMENTS! Those definitely made my week. See, you actually do exist!

The contest for a free guestbook is officially over and I’ll be doing the random drawing and posting the results in the next couple of days.

In the meantime, I hope all of you out there in blogland are staying warm and cozy. It is ridiculously cold outside… but there are oh-so-many reasons to curl up on the couch with some cocoa!
