Ionee :: Chicago Senior Portraits… Again

A couple days ago, I posted the first round of photos from this double senior portrait session with my sister-in-law, Ionee. Today, I’m posting part two.

We had a vision for the shoot, and we knew that we wanted it to be a little bit country and a little bit rock ‘n’ roll–a little city and a little country chic. It can be hard to get the country look in the city, but I knew just the spot. So, we bought some cowboy boots and headed down to my secret city getaway.

As we were leaving our alley, I saw a chair in the dumpster. “STOP!” I screamed. Ionee and my partner, Sona, looked at me like I was crazy. A few minutes later, I was jamming this old chair into the trunk. Talk about kismet! I love how we were able to incorporate this garbage find into the photos. I am so happy with how these turned out and how soft they are, especially when compared to the gritty urbanity of the last shoot.

These are two of my favorite shots. I love, love, love the pre-sunset light!
