Kate and Stephen were married this past weekend at Ignite Glass Studio in downtown Chicago. It was my last wedding of the year, and they were such a great couple to end my season with!
I met them both at the Renaissance Chicago hotel, where I captured a few photos of them getting ready. Then, before getting on a shuttle to travel around the city for photos, they did a first look at down on the river walk.
Though it threatened rain, as it has for most of my wedding’s this year, the weather held out long enough for us to get photos at the Field Museum, something they both wanted.
They leave tonight for Maui, but I hope they catch a glimpse of these sneak peeks before they head out. Enjoy your honeymoon, you two!
Gotta do a scotch toast.
The first look was so sweet.
At their engagement session, Kate and Stephen wowed me with how natural and romantic they were in front of the camera. The wedding day was no different!
It was a little chilly, but Stephen was kind enough to lend Kate his jacket.
These two aren’t just adorable–they are also brilliant! They both also have PhDs in chemical engineering from Northwestern. So, their science-themed table decor was perfect for them!
Ceremony time!
There ceremony was originally supposed to be outside, but it got a little too windy and cold that evening. Despite having to move it indoors, it was still so intimate and so special.
Ignite has an amazing rooftop. So, at sunset, we ran upstairs–braving the cold–and took a few quick shots!
I love this shot of Stephen and his mother. Since having our sweet Finn in August, mother/son dances just get me going!
