Lana and Jon were married this past Saturday at the Highland Park Country Club. All week, the forecast predicted thunderstorms for their big day. However, much to everyone’s delight, there wasn’t a drop of rain to be found.
At some point during the wedding, the rabbi came up to me and said, “It’s not bad working during a wedding when the people are this nice, huh?” It was my first wedding of the season. I’m battling a cold and had a runny nose all day. My feet were killing me. But, I couldn’t have agreed with the rabbi more. Working with nice people makes everything easier and, more importantly, it makes me want to do better. Lana and Jon (and their families) are so kind, it was really important to me that they love their photos. So, I tried extra hard to make sure we got some good ones. And I think we did!
Lana had her make-up done by Melissa from Sonia Roselli’s team. I caught a glimpse of them in the reflection of this painting.
I love the reaction of Lana’s dad when he first saw his daughter.
Lana and Jon decided to do a first look. I love these reactions (and I could never have caught these during the ceremony)!
Lana was pretty excited, too.
They are so in love.
We rode around the country club in a golf cart. Had to grab a couple shots with it!
Right before the ceremony, they gathered with their family to sign the ketubah.
Even though they’d already seen each other, Lana was completely THRILLED to see her soon-to-be husband.
Lots of laughs during the speeches.
And, of course, there was a hora with plenty of chair-raising!
