Right before I left town for the holiday, I had the pleasure of shooting Shulie’s Bat Mitzvah. I got to shoot several of these events in 2010, and I always like seeing familiar faces. Since most of the families I work with are from the Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School, and I know the community pretty well.
Shulie’s event started at the synagogue. Since it was cold and dark outside, we shot some portraits indoors. Then, I shot a few pictures of her rehearsal. A couple nights later, we met up at the amazing Catalyst Ranch for a party that any teen girl would die for. I’ve never shot at the Catalyst Ranch, and I was so excited to see how fun and colorful the venue was. It was a great night, and this is a beautiful family.
Here are some sneak peeks!
Proud parents!
And grandparents…
As I mentioned, Catalyst Ranch was a great venue. There were so many photo opportunities!
Everyone loved the photobooth. These are ALWAYS a hit at events!
All of Shulie’s cousins:
Most importantly, Shulie had a blast! Right before the party started, she told me, “I’m already sad that it’s almost over!”
