Summer and Eric

The first thing I knew about Summer and Eric’s wedding was that she would be wearing purple sneakers. Truthfully, she had me at “Converse.” I knew that they were both creative–both artists–and that the wedding day wouldn’t disappoint. I was 100% right. Yesterday, Summer and Eric married in Lincoln Park and then had a beautiful afternoon reception at Volo wine bar. It was one of my favorite wedding experiences to date. We had tons of time for photos (thanks to a first look and a flexible timeline), and they were up for anything. We spent an hour walking through Roscoe Villiage (their turf) and taking pictures. Again, proof that thinking outside of the box can result in beautiful, memorable photographs. Thanks, you two!

Some shots from the first look:

I LOVE the colors and styling of this wedding:

This is Summer’s family tradition:

A sweet moment from the ceremony:

And then, Eric sang to Summer:

LOVE these:

Obviously, these two like their bikes.

Favorite. Shoe. Shot. Ever.

I have to mention the food. THE FOOD. Volo’s spread was UNBELIEVABLE. Mini everything: gazpacho, flatbreads, sammies, bacon-wrapped dates. Total yum.

And one last one from the end of the afternoon.
