This weekend, I shot the loveliest morning wedding at the Mayslake Peabody Estate. I’ve never shot at this venue, but I’m SO glad that Suzanne and Tom asked me to be their photographer; this venue is so charming!
The estate is being renovated, but there’s still plenty of ambiance for a beautiful event. The grounds are expansive and beautifully landscaped, the mansion is full of vintage character, and the teeny, tiny chapel is maybe the most perfect thing I’ve ever seen. Suzanne and Tom had their small, intimate ceremony in the chapel, and they said their vowels as a thunderstorm passed over. It was beyond romantic.
Though the heavy rain prevented us from making use of the grounds for photos, we found plenty of spots inside–little nooks and corners with natural light, marble floors, and glorious windows.
Here are the sneak peeks from their morning affair. Congrats, you two!
Suzanne looked so elegant. She styled her look perfectly, and it fit with the vintage charm of the estate. She even wore her grandmother’s vintage baubles!
Look at how quaint this chapel is!
Loved this moment between Suzanne and her God-daughter.
These floors were to DIE for!
